South Bay/Silicon Valley Communities and Housing

Campbell

With a beautiful downtown featuring restuarants, shops, cafes, and nightlife, Campbell is the community of choice for young professionals.  A popular farmer's market and a nice park featuring trail connecting to Vasona Lake in Los Gatos make it easy to enjoy the lovely climate.  Easy access to Highway 17 and affordable rental prices make Campbell a gem.

Los Altos

A bedroom community located south of Palo Alto and just off of Hwy. 280. Its downtown area on Main Street provides the community with an ideal place to gather and socialize. Los Altos Hills, a more affluent annex of Los Altos, rolls into the hills off of Hwy. 280. Large ranch and estate homes, equestrian and hiking trails are hidden away in Los Altos Hills’ many winding roads.

Mountain View

Located between the 280 and 101 freeways, Mountain View offers many suburban homes and apartment complexes. Mountain View has a fairly substantial business sector, the naval base Moffet Field, Shoreline Amphitheater, and a charming downtown area located on Castro Street.

Palo Alto

The northern-most city in Santa Clara County, Palo Alto is 30 miles south of San Francisco and 15 miles north of San Jose. Palo Alto is one of the most affluent communities on the Peninsula and is home to Stanford University. The public elementary and secondary schools are excellent. University Drive provides wonderful opportunities for shopping, dining, and strolling

San Jose

The third largest city in the State, San Jose is known as a family town with a downtown area that has “grown up.” By refurbishing many of the buildings and providing rail service to the downtown area, San Jose is now home to major corporate headquarters, beautiful hotels and great restaurants. The many cultural events that take place in the City, such as the Cinco de Mayo parade, reflect San Jose’s diverse population. There is a wide range of housing options to choose from, including suburban homes, restored Victorian apartment complexes, and condo units.

Santa Clara

A well-established suburban town with tidy streets and well-maintained apartment complexes, Santa Clara does have pockets of older housing such as the Rose Garden. Residential and community oriented, Santa Clara is ideal for families, especially the neighborhoods close to the city center.  It is also close to Santana Row and the Valley Fair Mall.

Sunnyvale

At the heart of Silicon Valley, bordered by Santa Clara and Mountain View, Sunnyvale has an abundance of condos and apartment complexes, many constructed recently. Older homes and suburban are to be found where cherry orchards once grew. Sunnyvale is home to many families, as well as middle-class professionals.
